P63/15. A moulded blue goblet

A blue goblet, the ogee bowl with petal-moulded flutes, on a stem with double shoulder knop and with plain conical foot. English c.1830-50 Height 15.8 cm A heavy, thickly made glass of a type that can be associated with Great Yarmouth.  Similar goblets in blue, green and amethyst were gilded by Ann Dyball who succeeded William Absolon in his glass decorating business.
